Choosing a Popcorn Machine for Home Use
69
Some people consider popcorn machines as something that you can only enjoy at the theater. As a result, many homeowners settle for simple home popcorn makers, such as an air popcorn popper, or smaller heated oil models. Some people even settle for microwave popcorn. However, a real popcorn machine can be a great addition to your home, especially if you have a home theater or media room. They are fun, add a lot of style to the room, and add a certain type of nostalgic appeal to the simple act of popping and eating popcorn.
Even if you do not have a lot of space in the home to devote to a large popcorn machine, you can find a nice selection of smaller countertop popcorn machines for sale. These are available in a number of sizes and styles, but one of the most popular styles is the glass cabinet style, which includes a base with an aluminum or stainless steel kettle suspended over it. Smaller popcorn machines of course have the ability to only pop smaller quantities of popcorn at a time. This can be a great choice for a couple who likes to enjoy popcorn with their home "movie night". However, this smaller quantity of popcorn is generally inadequate for more than just a few people. If you customarily need to serve larger amounts of people, you would be much better off choosing a larger model. As a general rule, smaller models can handle four to eight ounces of popcorn, medium sized models range from twelve to sixteen ounces, and larger models start at 1 ounces. Even the smaller models are often designed to imitate the overall look of commercial or antique popcorn machines, which can add a stylish touch.
If you are lucky enough to have a media or home theater that the family uses for movie watching, you can choose a larger countertop popcorn machine, or even get a specially designed pedestal that can be used with a countertop model. There are also free-standing cart models, which can add a very attractive and nostalgic touch to the home theater. Although people often think of the nostalgic styles of popcorn makers, there are a number of other contemporary styles available as well, including art deco models.
Once you choose the popcorn machine that best suits your needs, you will want to shop for some popcorn machine supplies. Not only will you probably want to purchase popcorn in bulk, but you also might want to add a butter dispenser and an authentic popcorn scoop. You can even purchase authentic popcorn boxes to add to the fun.

Popcorn Machine Guide and Making the Best Popcorn

Although it's just as easy to pop your corn in the microwave, I have heard many people say that a proper machine will provide a much better quality popcorn. Plus the nostalgia of having a machine to use when movie night comes around is a great bonus.
